In Canada, a blind man has reunited with his missing Labrador guide dog thanks to Facebook.
Blake Hardin recently moved to Vancouver from Alabama. The visually-impaired man had not yet gotten new tags with updated contact information for his 10-year-old Labrador, Beethoven.
On Sunday October 18, the Labrador Retriever wandered off. Hardin said he walked around the neighborhood with his cane, calling out to Beethoven for hours, but couldn’t find his dog. The dog was not wearing his guide dog vest and he was worried what would happen to him.
Someone later found the lost Labrador on a street less than a mile away and took him into their home.
The next day, a neighbor recognized the Labrador in a post on The Columbian’s Facebook page.
Cherry Martin, the director of School of Piano Technology for the Blind where Hardin goes to, drove the blind man to the residence less than a mile away to take Beethoven home.
This is called humanity. Thanks to Cherry Martin. They've covered some sorts of very essentials dog vests at here
